Can a forest be an experiment? Marking an exciting new chapter for Luxembourg's forests, a commitment by Indosuez Wealth Management via the Climate Foundation under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg will bring to life the Klimabësch conservation project, led by the Fondation Hëllef fir d'Natur. The goal? Experimental forests, true living laboratories where research teams study how diversified forests adapted to their site can better withstand the challenges posed by climate change. Thanks to Klimabësch, a former monoculture spruce plantation in the municipality of Clervaux, previously vulnerable and poor in biodiversity, will begin its transformation into a climate-stable and species-rich forest reserve. This living experiment will provide valuable insights for resilient reforestation and sustainable forest management across Luxembourg.
