Can a forest be a living laboratory? Marking an exciting new chapter for Luxembourg’s forests, a commitment from Indosuez Wealth Management through the Climate Foundation under the auspices of the Luxembourg Foundation will bring the Klimabësch conservation project to life, led by the Fondation Hëllef fir d'Natur. The goal? Experimental forests—true living laboratories where research teams study how diverse, site-adapted forests can better withstand the challenges posed by climate change. Thanks to Klimabësch, a former monoculture fir plantation in the municipality of Clervaux—once vulnerable and low in biodiversity—will begin its transformation into a climate-resilient, species-rich forest reserve. This living experiment will provide valuable insights for resilient reforestation and sustainable forest management across Luxembourg.
