The Fondation Hëllef fir d'Natur is actively involved in nature conservation in Luxembourg.

Our history

1982

The Fondation Hëllef fir d'Natur was established in 1982. For over 40 years, it has been dedicated to nature conservation and the preservation of biodiversity in Luxembourg.

Our priority

Our primary goal is to halt the loss of biodiversity by restoring existing biotopes.

Our objectives

Acquiring land of high ecological value, and informing and raising public awareness about nature and biodiversity conservation

Our supporters

Since 2008, the Foundation has been under the High Patronage of HRH the Grand Duke.

Our activities

The foundation has initiated, contributed to, and participated in numerous large-scale projects and actions, such as: the safeguarding of wetlands and valley bottoms in the Oesling, the restoration of the freshwater pearl mussel population, the renaturation of the Alzette in Schifflange, the action plan for standard fruit orchards, nature conservation at the municipal level, and many others.
