National Tree Day 2024: Planting in Wilwerwiltz

Under the patronage of HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke, the Fondation Hëllef fir d'Natur launches its annual tree-planting campaign this Thursday, November 14. Initiated by the Fondation Hëllef fir d'Natur in 1992, the annual National Tree Day (JNA) represents the launch of a fund-raising and awareness-raising campaign, designed to encourage public and private bodies, as well as individual citizens, to plant trees and shrubs, which are essential to biodiversity in both rural and urban areas. In recent years, hedgehog populations have declined massively throughout Europe. If man's negative impact on the hedgehog continues, it is to be feared that this species will soon be reclassified as "endangered".
