Our history

1982

Fondation Hëllef fir d'Natur was founded in 1982. For more than 40 years, it has been firmly committed to nature conservation and the preservation of biodiversity in Luxembourg.

Our primary aim is to halt the loss of biodiversity by restoring existing biotopes.

Our objectives

Acquire land of high ecological value, inform and educate the public about protecting nature and biodiversity

Our supporters

Since 2008, the Foundation has benefited from the High Patronage of HRH the Grand Duke.

Our activities

The foundation has initiated, contributed to and participated in numerous large-scale projects and actions, such as: safeguarding the Oesling wetlands and valley bottoms, restoring the pearl mussel population, renaturating the Alzette at Schifflange, the action plan for high-stem orchards, nature protection at municipal level and many others.
